The Market Composite Index, a measure of mortgage loan application volume, increased 0.5 percent on a seasonally adjusted basis from one week earlier. ... The Refinance Index decreased 1.5 percent the previous week and the seasonally adjusted Purchase Index increased 5.7 percent from one week earlier. ... The refinance share of mortgage activity decreased to 67.2 percent of total applications from 69.1 percent the previous week.
